Why You Have to Build a Squeeze Page Before Driving Traffic to Your Web Site.

I like to build a squeeze page first and here's why. I want every single person, every single visitor that comes to my website, I want them to opt in. I don't want to deal with anybody who's not opted in. Everybody on this phone call, you're all opted in. The only way you're not opted in is if a buddy of yours gave you this particular dial in number or forwarded you an e-mail. That's the only way you're opted in here. I make two sales a month, maybe four sales, to people who are not opted in.

Two of them come from ad words that I mentioned a little bit ago, maybe two of them, the sales page just happens to be on a search engine page. Frankly, I wish it wasn't there. 99.5% of everybody that does business with me is on my list. It's almost impossible to do business if you're not on my list. I'm at the point right now, and the reason I say this is I'm working a couple of coaching clients right now who are just resisting putting a squeeze page there. The thing is I can't get them to their highest potential without having a squeeze page as their first point of entry.

So, if you're not willing to make that change and put a squeeze page as your first point of entry so that people can get opted into your list before they do anything else, then you're probably never going to break $5000. Probably aren't going to break it. Some people do, but you're probably not going to, most people don't, like a one in a thousand shot you'll get past $5000 a month without building a list. You've got to build that list. My squeeze page only converts at 30 something percent. I've had squeeze pages that converted at 40, 50, and 60 percent. To pitch that number to you would be a lie because it's very highly targeted traffic that will convert at that.

With my average squeeze page, it's at 30 to 32%, and I've got hundreds of squeeze pages. It's hard to know an exact number, but I'd say between 30 and 32 percent. What happens to the 60 or 70 percent that don't subscribe? They never would have bought from me in the first place. You've got to learn this, too. If somebody doesn't trust you enough to give you their name and e-mail address, they don't trust you enough to give you their credit card number and expiration date.

Think about that, if somebody doesn't trust you enough to give you their name and e-mail address for a free download, they do not trust you enough to give you their name and e-mail address on line, site unseen, to you the very first time they talk to you. You've got to get their name and e-mail address so that you can talk to them via e-mail over time.
