My primary niche is article marketing. 80% of everybody that comes onto my list come through my article marketing squeeze page. For example you came in through a different squeeze page than my article marketing squeeze page, you're one of a few people on my list.

80% of every item that comes in comes in under the article marketing keyword. Now every single month, I generate around, just on that keyword, around 4000 visitors, unique visitors and about a third of them convert to subscribers. Somewhere in the neighborhood of 1000 to 1100 people become subscribers every single month under that keyword. Now if you were to do keyword research on the word article marketing, and I haven't done it lately, but I believe there's a total of about 1500 searches is what most of the keyword tool will tell you per month.

So I'm actually getting over double the amount of visitors that that particular keyword is purported to have searches. See, that's irrational, that's absolutely irrational. Now there are some search firms out there that have 100,000 searches purportedly, and the number one person in Google will be lucky to get 100 visitors. I'm not a big believer in the whole keyword thing. If there's 20,000 searches, that just means there are 20,000 people searching for that word, that's all it means. If you're doing article marketing, you're getting exposure to like hundreds of thousands of people who might be interested in your topic, but don't necessarily search for that exact keyword and sometimes those are your best clients. So, that's the first thing that I want to say is that I'm not big on the whole keyword search thing.

I'm just big on it, the numbers aren't accurate, it gets worse every single month, and nobody really know what those numbers are. If you look at my particular numbers, mine are irrational. Whatever that number is, it's irrational. I think that answers your question. It doesn't give you anything solid, but it answers your question in terms that you cannot determine how much traffic you're going to get or how many keyword searches are purportedly out there. The only thing that you can do is to go out there, write articles and see if you get traffic from those articles and that that traffic is significantly different than organic traffic.
