Now if you were to take some individual who was coming into network marketing brand new and they don’t have a lot of experience, and you were to apply your experience that personally created for you a $20,000 a month income selling these travel memberships, and you were to work with this person one-on-one and teach them everything you know, what kind of income could that person get to following your principles over time?
Caller: Well, I don’t consider myself anyone’s genius, but anybody who’s willing to learn and make the effort ought to be able to do that as well as I do.
Sean: They ought to be able to do as well as you do, right? So you’re making $20,000 selling these. I realize, Caller, that you’re still new in the network marketing arena and I don’t know how many you’re selling, but I’m making the assumption – I mean obviously if you sell something for $5,000 you’re going to impart some knowledge, so I’m assuming you’re selling 20 at $1,000 and you can teach others to sell 20 at $1,000.
If you can show somebody over time, by revealing to them everything that you know and maybe even shortening their learning curve by telling them some of the mistakes you’ve made, and say, “Hey, don’t make that mistake. It cost me three months,” somebody can get to the point over a period of time where they can make $20,000 a month following your principles, what would your expertise be worth that individual?
Caller: Well, if you build the trust and so forth and they can take it to heart, then it’s certainly worth the $5,000 number we talked about.
Sean: It’s certainly worth the $5,000 number. Ok, go ahead.
Caller: Perhaps more. The content you’re providing and all those things have to be brought to bear, but certainly the $5,000 we talked about.
Sean: Absolutely. There are coaching programs online that run anywhere from $65,000 on up to $100,000 and they obviously include a lot more personal time than you’d ever put into a $5,000 product, so there’s this huge range of things that you can continue to offer to increase that price.
So if you can legitimately show somebody how they can make $20,000 a month, and this $5,000 is kind of a fair number, or maybe even a higher number than that, and you’re willing to personally create kind of a standardized program that shows people – maybe an 8-week program – that shows people step-by-step in say an hour a week how to duplicate what you did to get to 20 memberships at $1,000, $20,000 a month, and then you also offered them some other things – maybe some CDs that you’d created, maybe some step-by-step ebook tutorials, maybe some one-on-one time –
Could you see how it would be reasonable for you to market your own services at $5,000 for these classes?
Caller: Yes.
